Once you identify the courses you want to take, use Class Search to check for course prerequisites. You can find these prerequisites under 'Course Information and Notes' after clicking on the class title link.
There are several ways to meet course prerequisites:
Option 1 - Transfer Credit
If you have completed college courses that meet course prerequisites, submit official
transcripts and request an articulation by emailing myprogress@cocc.edu.
Option 2 - Take the Placement Assessment
Complete the placement assessment for writing and math prerequisites.
Option 3 - Recent placement in Math or Writing
If you have completed placement at another institution within the last 2 years, provide
results and placement guidelines to Admissions & Records by emailing welcome@cocc.edu. Note: processing takes 3 business days.
Important details:
- We will only accept prior college degree, coursework, and placement test scores from regionally accredited colleges.
