At COCC, the eLearning Department is in charge of instructional tools, online course spaces, and providing access to education curriculum for classes held in any of COCC's delivery methods. The primary point of access to digital course material is through our Learning Management System, Canvas.

eLearning staff members are available during regular business hours for phone and email support, and in-person by appointment. Specifically, we focus on:

  • Best practices for using the LMS as a teaching and learning platform
  • Integration requests and administrative technical support
  • Effective and accessible use of multimedia in the classroom
  • Ongoing preparation for Spring and Summer term Canvas use

Have a question about using one of COCC's streaming classrooms?

eLearning supports faculty use of these rooms by providing training prior to term start on how to effectively teach in this modality, as well as how to navigate the room technology.

Technical support for streaming classrooms will be managed in this order: a) reviewing the provided classroom guide, b) your streaming classroom tech, c) branch campus admin or director, d) escalation to eLearning and ITS via support ticket.

*Please note that while timely support for these rooms is our priority, eLearning and/or ITS staff may not be available for day-of support.
