Library Resources

COCC's Barber Library has resources that you can access off-campus, right from the library's home page:

The Barber Library offers online resources you can access from off-campus. Use the search box on the homepage to search the most popular databases, or consult a Research Guide to find articles, background information, websites, and more for a particular subject.

If you have questions, you can get help from the library.

Tutoring Services at COCC

The COCC Tutoring Center provides free tutoring services to all currently enrolled COCC students for the courses that they are currently taking at COCC. Tutoring is available on all four campuses and online. It also administers a variety of tests, including various test-taking services for students with disabilities, GREs, SATs, and many certification tests.

Writing Center:

The COCC Writing Center provides free tutoring services to currently enrolled COCC students for courses that they are currently taking at COCC. Please visit the Writing Center Website for a schedule of center hours and additional information.

Academic Advising and CAP Services:

Unless you receive special permission from your advisor (every COCC student has one), you cannot register for the next term. Your advisor should contact you about advising appointments, but you need to proactive as well. If you do not hear from your advisor or for any reason cannot meet with him or her, you need to contact the CAP Services. CAP Services can answer most questions about

  • placement tests,
  • registration,
  • academic advising,
  • and graduation.
