College Now is a partnership between Central Oregon Community College and area high schools in which 1,160 students earned 8,523 college credits in 2017-2018.
Seniors, juniors, and selected freshmen and sophomores earned college credit in classes taught by 55 qualified high school teachers during regular school hours at 17 high schools. Classes ranged from math, writing, and history to automotive technology, criminal justice, and forestry, depending on the school. With our reduced fees, last year's students saved up to $320 per course over regular COCC tuition.
College Now is a great way to get a head start on college, without spending big money. Credits granted through the program are regular COCC credits and may transfer to other schools, including Oregon Public Universities and Community Colleges as well as out of state and private schools. Some colleges may not accept transfer credits; students need to check with the specific college.
College now is also a great way to start a COCC certificate or degree. If you're ready to do the work, we're ready to grant the credit. Check out the links on the side menu to see what courses are articulated at your high school, or call us for more information. 541.504.2930
