Having trouble accessing the online resources? Below are the most common causes of sign-in problems for articles, databases, eBooks, and streaming videos.

The username or password is incorrect.

For all library databases and the catalog, your username is your full COCC email address. Make sure you include the "@cocc.edu". Your password is the same as your email password.

To get help with your email account, contact the Computer Labs. A computer lab attendant can troubleshoot your account and reset your password.

Your account doesn't have the necessary permissions.

You must be currently enrolled in a COCC credit course to access the library databases from off campus and over the wireless network.

If you registered for a class within the past few days, you will be able to sign in to the library databases starting next Monday. In the meantime, you can use the computers in Barber Library or the COCC drop-in labs to access all online articles, databases, eBooks, and streaming videos.

If you're taking a break between terms, you will be able to sign in again when you take a class in a future term.

If you're a former student, or if you're taking community learning classes only, you can apply for a network account as a community member to access the databases on computers within Barber Library.

You landed on the wrong sign-in form.

The sign-in screen for Barber Library databases has a banner across the top that says "Central Oregon Community College" and a bold header that says "Campus Library Databases."

If the screen you're on looks different, you might have followed an incorrect link. If an instructor gave you the link, he or she should contact the library for the correct URL.

The correct links to all library databases are listed on A-Z Databases.
