A Tom Meret Retrospective

All day, everyday starting 1/7/2019 through 2/15/2019

Barber Library, Rotunda

Description

This long overdue tribute to Tom Meret, AIA (1906-1971) who perfected his mosiac watercolor technique in the mid-1960s through 1971, when a tragic auto mishap took his life the same year most of the renderings in this exhibit were slated for a one-man show in NYC.

A highly respected architect (Carnegie Institute of Technology, 1931) and Deputy State Architect of California until his retirement in the late '60s, Tom was an avid golfer, fisherman, voracious reader and, as one colleague mentioned, "a man of no malice."

Opening Reception

Wednesday, January 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Barber Library Rotunda

Information: Tina Hovekamp
