Licensed Massage Therapy (LMT) Program
Do you want to know how the human body functions? Are you interested in helping clients stay in tune with their bodies to maintain their health? Do you want to manage your very own clinic? If so, the Licensed Massage Therapy program at COCC is for you.
Massage isn't purely a luxury. Massage therapy is now considered an accepted method of maintaining overall wellness. You will study the sciences relating to the body, plus the theory and practical skills of various applications of massage therapy. You'll also learn how to maintain client and business records, design a treatment plan, recognize medical issues that may limit certain types of massage therapy, practice ethical client/practitioner boundaries, use universal sanitation practices and develop excellent client communication skills.
Whether you are studying for a certificate of completion or pursuing an associates degree, our faculty's more than 150 years of combined practical teaching experience, dedication and excellent advising will set you on a path for career success.
The Licensed Massage Therapy program is approved by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA). COCC's LMT program is the only program in the state to offer an AAS degree.

"My completion of the LMT program has given me a new found passion for helping people
overcome chronic pain and finding stress relief. I am so thankful for this program
and the knowledge I have attained during this journey. I raised my children as a bartender
single mom and now I am a small business owner licensed in the state of Oregon on
a new amazing path."
