COCC’s Massage Therapy Classroom

Students train in state-of-the-art facilities in the Heath Careers Center on the Bend campus

In the dedicated Licensed Massage Therapy classrooms of COCC’s Health Careers Center, students have access to various hands-on learning modalities that deepen their knowledge of the human body. Students can expect a holistic and immersive learning experience that prepares them for success. They have the opportunity to study human anatomy models and skeletons that are fully equipped with lifelike bones and muscles, as well as explore anatomy and pathology using iPads.

Moreover, students will find a wide variety of massage tables for them to explore and learn about the differences in equipment. By using the most current technologies and top-notch equipment, students are exposed to the latest industry trends, providing a competitive edge when they enter the workforce. Students also have access to the COCC cadaver labs, where they can gain a more in-depth understanding of the human body.

"My favorite part of the program was the cadaver lab! It was such an incredible thing to see and it was extremely humbling!" — Nickola Shingles, Massage Therapy graduate

COCC’s Massage Therapy programs are offered on the College's main campus in Bend, a city known for its natural beauty and proximity to diverse recreational opportunities. The nearly 200-acre campus offers an on-campus residence hall, dining facilities and cafe, student center, gym and fitness center, as well as quiet, peaceful surroundings for study and reflection. With its location on the western slope of Awbrey Butte, students have a spectacular view of the Oregon Cascade mountain range from nearly every point on the grounds.
