Math Placement Level 4
There are three different pathways to the math course required for your academic goal.
Two of these pathways, Quantitative Reasoning and STEM, are intended for students
planning to transfer to a four-year institution and the third is for those in Career
and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
Math Level 4 places you into MTH 015, Prealgebra, which is the first course on any of the above three paths. MTH 015 provides
students with a solid Prealgebra foundation for moving along your appropriate math
path to your academic goal.
If it has been a few years since your last math class, then reviewing might be the
best option before you start your math course path. A course you may consider to refresh
and review your math skills in a facilitated setting is our MTH 001 AMP: Adjust My Placement course. This is a 1-credit course graded Pass/No Pass, which is intended
to help students be successful in a higher-level math course than originally placed.
By refreshing and strengthening your math content, you will enter your next math course
with strong skills and confidence.
Your advisor will help you determine the correct path and course for your academic goal. More information on the complete paths is available here: Math Course Flow
