COCC’s Health Information Management (HIM) program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to launch rewarding careers in the health care industry. HIM graduates are equipped to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and government agencies. The field is expected to grow significantly, with a strong demand for professionals who can help manage and protect electronic patient data, streamline health care operations, and improve patient outcomes. With an HIM degree, students can also train in a range of specialties, such as medical coding, billing, and compliance, as well as clinical documentation improvement and health care analytics.
