Graduates from the COCC Dental Assisting program are in high demand. They are hired to assist dentists in a wide variety of areas in dentistry in both private dental practices and corporate dental practices, and include areas such as:

• General Dentistry – Dentists who perform all the major dental procedures
• Oral Surgery – Dentists who specialize in oral surgical procedures
• Orthodontics – Dentists who place oral appliances like braces
• Pedodontics – Dentists who specialize in the oral care of children
• Periodontics – Dentists who specialize in care and surgery related to oral tissues (gums)
• Prosthodontics – Dentists who specialize in dental implants and artificial teeth
