Learning labs, classrooms, tools, and other resources for students and community partners

COCC's Apprenticeship programs are based at our Redmond campus's state-of-the-art Technology Education Center (RTEC), a 34,000-square-foot facility focused on technology-centered programs. Pre-apprentices learn in work bays with retractable doors and exterior workspaces with designated training sites for students. Apprenticeship studies take place in modern classrooms in the same building. COCC's RTEC facility also includes a computer lab, library, tutoring and multicultural centers, and other important learning resources.

Mobile Tool Shop

COCC's Mobile Tool Shop takes workforce training solutions on the road. The Ford F-350 dually tows a 14-foot box trailer containing a complete mobile classroom. This includes a fleet of portable toolkits, rolling boxes packed with full hand tool sets and power tools such as impact drivers, cordless drills, miter saws, and reciprocating saws. COCC's Mobile Tool Shop provides high schools and youth groups easy access to training and tools of the trade, with convenient site-specific delivery. The vehicle and trailer were made possible by funding from the Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA), while the tools and equipment were purchased with a grant from the state's Future Ready Oregon initiative.
