A partnership with the SBDC at COCC

After living through Hurricane Katrina and losing everything he owned, Mike Uriz made the tough decision to relocate to Prineville, Oregon where he launched his business Northwest Laundry Service in 2006. As his business began to grow, Michael learned about the services offered by the COCC Small Business Development Center.

"The SBDC allowed us to rediscover how our company operates. It also allows us to continue to move further with growth." says Mike. "The SBDC is almost like a board of directors, with a learning component. You know, a teaching component, where they're helping to guide you to be more successsful using the tools that they provide."
