Season of Nonviolence: "Light into Darkness" Film

“NOT IN OUR TOWN: LIGHT INTO DARKNESS” FILM EVENT WITH DISCUSSION
In 2008 a series of attacks against Latino residents of Patchogue, New York, culminated
in the murder of Marcelo Lucero, an Ecuadorian immigrant. Over a two-year period,
this film follows the residents of Patchogue as they address the underlying causes
of the violence and the steps they take. Discussion to follow. Free and open to the
Prineville campus: noon-1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 19.
