Mud and fun define the spirit of Jungle Run
With rubber snakes, mud pits and log crossings, COCC's annual four-mile Jungle Run
(or two-mile walk) is set for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, beginning at the college’s
track. Registration forms for the $5 event are available from the COCC Sports and
Recreation office or at local running outlets and athletic clubs; day of race registration
takes place from 4:30-5:15 p.m. at the Mazama Gym.
According to organizers, the course is fun, challenging, and includes singletrack, mud bogs, several steep ascents and descents, and numerous log crossings. Recovered rubber snakes are redeemable for prizes. Additionally, a prize drawing follows the race. All finishers receive an event T-shirt.
