Snakes are just part of the action during COCC’s Jungle Run

Discovering snakes on the racecourse isn’t an ideal situation during most track events. But in Central Oregon Community College’s (COCC) four-mile “Jungle Run,” or two-mile run or walk, slated for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, recovered rubber snakes are redeemable for prizes. The annual fun run event — featuring mud pits, log crossings and several steep ascents and descents — begins at the college’s track. Free for students and $15 for other runners, with all entrants receiving a T-shirt. Register for the COCC Jungle Run.

For information, contact Randal Seaton, club sports coordinator, at 541-383-7763 or rseaton3@cocc.edu. In advance of college events, persons needing accommodation or transportation because of a physical or mobility disability should contact Caitlyn Gardner at 541-383-7237. For accommodation because of other disability, such as hearing impairment, contact disability services at 541-383-7583.
