This variety of white fir has a silvery color to its needles. You can be recognize it as a member of the true fir genus, Abies, by looking at the spirally arranged, disc-shape leaf attachments. True firs also have upright cones with deciduous scales when mature, leaving behind a bare spike-like axis.
