Types of Financial Aid

At Central Oregon Community College, we strive to ensure that students with financial need have access to our programs and courses. Various sources of funding are available, including grants and scholarships, loans, and work-study programs. Students often utilize different combinations of these services to finance their education.

Grants

Most grants are offered on the basis of financial need. Grants do not have to be repaid and are a type of gift aid. Student financial aid packages include grant funds whenever student eligibility and funding levels permit. Funding for the grant programs administered at COCC comes from the Department of Education and the state of Oregon.
