Theme: Culture and Anthropology
Study in one of the great cities of the world, known for its innovation and openness. This Mediterranean capital of Catalonia is a city as old as its Roman roots and medieval center, but as new as its Gaudi park, Art Nouveau architecture and 1992 Olympic makeover. This 10-week program offers activities and courses in Spanish culture and language and AAOT transfer courses in Anthropology.

Students at Chemeketa CC, Clackamas CC, Mt. Hood CC, Portland CC, or Rogue CC will need to register with COCC for the Fall 2023 term. Your completed classes will be transcripted with your home institution after returning from Barcelona.

Gilman International Scholarship Program
Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarships award up to $5,000 to students who are currently receiving a Pell Grant for their
education at COCC. Our last survey showed that one in three applicants receives an

Gilman March 2023 Deadlines & Timeline
The March 2023 deadline application is for applicants whose programs or internships
start between May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024. Applications are due March 9, 2023 at
11:59pm Pacific Time.
This cycle encompasses programs during the following terms:
- Summer 2023
- Fall 2023
- Academic Year 2023-2024
- Spring 2024
