The Human Resources Department provides centralized support to Central Oregon Community College District, its students, faculty, and staff in the areas of labor and employee relations, faculty and staff recruitment, selection and retention, classification and compensation, equal opportunity, and training and development. We are a business partner to the College and departments to help meet College objectives as they related to employees, culture, and productivity.

With our front desk as the primary point of contract, this hub within HR provides operational support to the day to day activities. This team is responsible for personnel actions, employee records, database maintenance, and HR forms.
This central function responds to general questions and inquiries from the public, employees, and supervisors, including HR processes, employment inquiries, and similar.

This functional area is responsible for coordinating, guiding and supporting the recruitment and retention of employees across the Campus. To streamline, recruitment needs the front staff is assigned by employee group.
This team serves as support in all areas of recruitment and selection, job postings, onboarding and offboarding.
Compensation, Employee Concerns, Labor Relations
Primary: Laura Boehme x7219
Compensation is determined by the Chief Human Resources Officer in coordination with hiring managers. Employee and labor relations encompasses policies and procedures, employee performance, collective bargaining negotiations and implementation.
HR develops and delivers training to employees and supervisors, provides guidance on performance management, and assists supervisors and employees with employee issues, including corrective action.
Benefits, Wellness, Leave Management

This functional area encompasses benefits, wellness, and leave management responsibilities. As a resource, these services focus on management of insurance benefits, wellness programs, and leave management. Leave management includes FMLA/OFLA, ADA, long term leaves, and other leave of absences.

Policy, Compliance, Performance Management and Training

Our HR staff works together to ensure that supervisors and employees are aware of college-wide policies and have opportunities to build skills and to learn about our services. We collaborate with the campus community to provide ongoing resources that focus on developing staff and faculty. Additionally, employees and supervisors can seek assistance addressing employee interpersonal challenges and conflicts.
