Geography Careers Infographic: Government, Education, Nonprofits, Business

Geography students at COCC work closely with their advisor to develop transfer plans based on their degree and career goals. Students who complete their Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree at COCC and then complete a bachelor's or master's degree in geography are prepared to launch careers in a wide variety of fields. Graduates with bachelor's and master's degrees in geography are qualified for careers in business, nonprofits, government, and education, including city planning, environmental science, recreation, and natural resources.

Students interested in combining a four-year geography degree with geographic information systems (GIS) may also consider the Associate of Science in Geospatial Science degree.
