Program Outcomes

Paramedic Program Statistics 

CAAHEP Accredited Paramedic Programs and CoAEMSP Letter of Review (LoR) Programs track and report outcome measures annually to the Committee on Accreditation for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). 

The most current CoAEMSP annual report was for the calendar year 2021. 

The most recent retention rate was 95.7%.

The most recent success rate for the National Registry of EMT Paramedic/State Cognitive exam was 95.2%. 

The most recent positive placement rate for graduates was 90.9%.

Positive placement is defined by the CoAEMSP as “Employed full or part-time in a related field and/or continuing his/her education and/or serving in the military.” Positive placement is measured at completion of the program. 

Program Goal
"To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels." 
 
Program Level Outcomes:  

    1. "Demonstrate the ability to relate Paramedic-level industry standards in the areas of EMS operations, trauma, general medical emergencies, airway management, and cardiac care.” 
        
    2. "Demonstrate communication skills of the medical environment in order to develop and maintain professional client relationships at the Paramedic level and act in accordance with the ethical and professional medical standards of the entry-level Paramedic.” 
        
    3. "Demonstrate the professional and technical skill set necessary to apply advanced life support skills in a safe manner under diverse conditions.”
