Club Sports provide opportunities for intercollegiate competition against other schools, focused on skill-development, leadership, and teamwork. Club Sport teams have paid coaches, and are organized by students with guidance from staff. Club Sports are open to currently enrolled COCC and dual-enrolled OSU-Cascades students.


Men's Rugby

The Bobcat Rugby Club Team plays during the fall and spring term, competing in the men’s division of the Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference (NCR) in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO). This conference features NCAA Division 1 Teams, as well as other community colleges in the Pacific Northwest.

rugby team 2021Practices:  Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. on Mazama field.

Tryouts: Thursday, September 22 at 4pm on the COCC athletics field in Bend.

Academic Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in at least 9 credits to participate in the Bobcat Rugby Club Team during the Fall and Spring academic terms.

Men's Soccer

The Bobcat Soccer Club Team plays during the fall term, competing in the Cascade Collegiate Soccer League (CCSL) in the 2nd division. The team is currently co-ed but plays in the men’s league vs. club teams from Division 1 schools, and community colleges in the Pacific Northwest.

Men's Baseball

The Bobcat Baseball Club Team plays during the winter and spring term, competing Independantly vs. teams in the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) like U. of Oregon, and teams around the Pacific Northwest like Boise State, Oregon State, & Portland State.

Practices: Tuesday/Friday afternoons & Saturday mornings.

Tryouts: First Team Meeting December 1, @ 5:30pm in Mazama Gymnasium on Bend Campus. Tryouts to follow.

Academic Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in at least 1 credit at COCC to participate in the Bobcat Baseball Club Team.

Individual Athletes

Opportunities are available for individual athletes to travel to competitions on their own with subsidies from the Club Sports Department.  In the past we have helped Track and Field, Mountain Bike Racing, and other individual athletes pay for entry fees and travel.
