  • Thanksgiving Break

    Thanksgiving Break

    Wickiup Hall will be closed to residents for Thanksgiving Break starting at 5pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 until 9am on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Students are able to leave their belongings in their designated space, however they will NOT have access to these belongings during this time. Residents will not be able to return to Wickiup Hall prior to 9am on Sunday, November 26, 2023 unless they have signed up for Thanksgiving Break Stay. Please be aware that COCC and Wickiup Hall staff may enter resident spaces during the break to perform maintenance work.

    Residents wishing to stay during Thanksgiving Break can sign up for Thanksgiving Break Stay. Residents will be charged $20 per night for each night they stay, starting at 5pm on November 22, 2023. Residents must sign up prior to the start of the break using the Thanksgiving Break Stay Form and will be subjected to a student conduct review prior to approval. An additional policy for all break stay residents is that outside guests are prohibited. This includes residents who have not signed up for break stay. Any student conduct issues will result in the student being removed from Wickiup Hall for the remainder of the break stay period. There is no food service during break stay, and mail services will be interrupted. 

  • Winter Break

    Winter Break

    Heading into Winter Break, there are several things to be thinking about:

    FINALS WEEK

    • Wickiup Hall will have a 24-hour quiet hours starting at 5pm on Saturday, December 9 for students to be able to rest and study.
    • Any disruptive student conduct issues (noise, alcohol,etc.) may result in the student being removed from Wickiup Hall until the beginning of the next term.
    • Be sure to plan with your room/suitemates to ensure the room has been cleaned and prepped for the Winter Break.
      • The following actions should be taken in the room prior to leaving:
      • Room needs be cleaned and dishes done.
      • All trash needs be removed from the suite and food removed from the fridge.
      • Electronics should be unplugged (please leave mini-fridges plugged in).
      • Windows need to be shut and locked, and heat should be set to between 65 and 70 degrees.

    WINTER BREAK CLOSURE

    Wickiup Hall will close at 5pm on Friday, December 15. Break stay is available for the first week (see Winter Break Stay information below). Residents will not be able to re-enter Wickiup Hall until it reopens on Sunday, January 7 at 9am. Students are able to leave their belongings in their designated space if they are returning for the Winter Term, however they will NOT have access to these belongings during this time. Residents will not be able to return to Wickiup Hall prior to Sunday, January 9, 2024.

    Please be aware that COCC and Wickiup Hall staff will be entering resident spaces during the Winter Break to perform preventative maintenance work and ensure that the building is prepped for adverse winter weather.

    WINTER BREAK STAY

    Break stay for Winter Break will be available from Friday, December 15 until 5pm on Friday, December 22. Students must register for break stay prior to the start of the break by completing the Winter Break Stay Request Form and will be subjected to a student conduct review prior to approval. Break stay residents will be charged $20 per night beginning Friday, December 15 at 5pm. An additional policy for all break stay residents is that outside guests are prohibited. This includes residents who have not signed up for break stay. Any student conduct issues will result in the student being removed from Wickiup Hall for the remainder of the break stay period. There is no food service during break stay, and mail services will be interrupted.

    Wickiup Hall will be fully closed to residents starting at 5pm on Friday, December 22 until we reopen again on Sunday, January 7 at 9am.

    MOVING OUT

    If you are planning to move out at the end of the Fall term, please make sure to schedule a meeting with Dustin Hunt (Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life) as soon as possible. This meeting is to ensure you know the procedures and costs associated with canceling your agreement. Please click here to schedule a meeting with Dustin Hunt. 

    WINTER BREAK PARKING

    Residents are allowed to keep their car parked in the Wickiup Hall lot during Winter Break. Please park your car in the upper portion of the lot to help with snow removal. Please also make sure you have your parking permit properly posted on your car to avoid any fines. As Bend can have severe winter conditions, it is highly recommended you remove anything from your vehicle which may freeze or be damaged by adverse weather.

    If you need a Wickiup Hall Resident Parking Permit, please see the Wickiup Hall front desk or stop by the information booth in Boyle Education Center. If picking up in Boyle, please make sure to mention you are a resident of Wickiup Hall in order to get the resident permit, which allows you to park overnight. 

  • Spring Break

    Spring Break

    Wickiup Hall will be closed to residents for Spring Break starting at 5pm on Friday, March 22, 2024 until 9am on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Students are able to leave their belongings in their designated space if they are returning for the Spring Term, however they will NOT have access to these belongings during this time. Residents will not be able to return to Wickiup Hall prior to 9am Sunday, March 31, 2024 unless they have signed up for Spring Break Stay. Please be aware that COCC and Wickiup Hall staff may enter resident spaces during the break to perform maintenance work.

    Spring Break Stay will start at 5pm on Friday, March 22 and will run the entirety of the break. Residents will be charged $20 per night for each night they stay, starting at 5pm on Friday, March 22. Residents must sign up prior to the start of the break using the Spring Break Stay Form (form will be available closer to break) and will be subjected to a student conduct review prior to approval. An additional policy for all break stay residents is that outside guests are prohibited. This includes residents who have not signed up for break stay. Any student conduct issues will result in the student being removed from Wickiup Hall for the remainder of the break stay period. There is no food service during break stay, and mail services will be interrupted.
