Standard Purchase

What is Standard Purchase?

Standard Purchase is a model where students are responsible for purchasing their required digital course materials (such as eTextbooks or the publisher courseware like Cengage MindTap or Pearson MyLab) on their own. Students can buy digital access codes from the COCC Bookstore, directly from the publisher's website, or other retailers like Amazon. Once a code is purchased, students will use it to access the digital materials.

How to access Standard Purchase course materials

Access codes are used to unlock and access their digital materials. Depending on the class, students may enter the code directly in Canvas or on the publisher’s website.

Because this can vary by instructor or class, students need to carefully follow the instructions from their instructor to enter their access code and start using the digital course materials.
