Tony Russell Wins Turnitin Award

Turnitin has announced its 2015 All-Star Award winners, and Dr. Tony Russell from the Department of Humanities has been named Winner of the Grading & Feedback All-Star Award for Higher Education.

Turnitin is a cloud-based service used by over15,000 institutions in 140 countries that verifies document originality and provides state-of-the-art grading tools. The Grading & Feedback Award celebrates innovation and above and beyond support in grading and feedback practices. Turnitin commends Dr. Russell's use of motivational voice comments and his development of a statistics-tracking system that charts his students' improvement on specific grading items over the course of a term. Dr. Russell's picture and story will feature on Turnitin's All-Stars website throughout the remainder of 2015.
