Small Business Management Program
Improve your business with COCC’s Small Business Management
Boost your business’s success via this hands-on business
coaching program providing individualized guidance on how to more effectively
work “on” your business, not just “in” it. Through a combination of one-to-one advising,
class content, and networking with a cohort of other business owners, you learn
to set and achieve your personal and business goals and vision.
Offered in the Central Oregon area for over 20 years, Small
Business Management (SBM) offers a unique approach where business owners
receive one private onsite advising session and attend one afternoon class with
other business owners in the program each month.
The Small Business Management Program gives you
access to tools that give you an edge. It is a safe environment to try new
things and to share your successes and challenges. The goal is to help provide
an environment where you feel empowered to stretch and grow. The
nine-month business coaching program includes:
business advising – 2 hours per month.
classroom learning – 3 hours, once per month.
tools – we teach them and coach you on how to use them.
ideas and experiences with other small business owners.
– we help you keep accountable to what you say is important.
SBM is designed to guide you towards achieving your business goals through better organization, management and operation of your business.
Confidential advising gives you an ongoing analysis of your business and helps you implement a sound plan for growth and greater profits. The classes cover critical business topics that will enhance your entrepreneurial skills and increase your ability to establish and maintain effective management procedures.
- Develop a plan for sound growth or expansion
- Understand your market and marketing plan
- Plan for greater profit and returns for owners
- Analyze your operations for better management
Recent highly recognizable graduates of the program include O’Keeffe’s Company Working Hands Cream (SBA Oregon Small Business Owner of the Year winner), Vocal Booth (EDCO’s Product of the Year winner), Silvermoon Brewing (North American Beer Awards Winner), Pine Mountain Sports, Angeline’s Bakery and Compass Commercial, to name a few Central Oregon businesses.
The next SBM Program starts in February 2017 and is
open to owners of established businesses with at least a year of
operation and one employee beyond the owner. There is even an optional "Year II" program for those companies who want to continue on! Full year tuition is $999 (a marketplace value of $3,000).
