Sex Offender Registry

The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000 is a federal law requiring institutions of higher education to advise the campus community where information concerning registered sex offenders may be obtained. It also requires sex offenders, already required by state law to register in a state, to provide notice to each institution of high education in the state, at which the person is employed, carries on a vocation, or is a student.

In Oregon, convicted sex offenders must register with the state. You can view this information by accessing the State of Oregon’s Sex Offender Inquiry System website.

The Oregon State Police Sex Offender Registration Unit is available for additional information or questions on Oregon’s sex offender registration at 503-378-3720.

In Deschutes County, notification to the community of convicted sex offenders, if deemed appropriate, is available on the Deschutes County Justice website.

In Crook County, notification to the community of convicted sex offenders, if deemed appropriate, is available on the Crook County Sheriff website.

In Jefferson County, notification to the community of convicted sex offenders, if deemed appropriate, is available on the Jefferson County Justice website.
