Students interested in pursuing professional degrees to become a Physical Therapist (PT) are required to complete a bachelor's degree, preferably in a related area, including any of the biological sciences. To provide a solid foundation for bachelor's degree work, students are encouraged to complete the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer degree, with an emphasis on Pre-Physical Therapy coursework. A suggested course of study is listed below. Students may transfer to a baccalaureate institution without the AAOT; however, completion of this degree guarantees that a student will transfer with junior standing and that all lower-division general education coursework is complete.
