Pharmacy Technician Registration Checklist

NEW COCC STUDENTS:

  • APPLY TO COCC - Application available online
  • TAKE PLACEMENT TEST AND/OR SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS TO ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS (Call Admissions and Records at 541-383-7500 or CAP Services at 541-383-7200 for questions regarding transcript submission or to schedule a placement test appointment.)
  • COMPLETE NEW STUDENT ADVISING (Call Admissions and Records at 541-383-7500 or CAP Services at 541-383-7200 to schedule an appointment.)

CURRENT COCC STUDENTS:

  • CONFIRM REGISTRATION DATE AND TIME (and any registration requirements) USING THE CAN I REGISTER PAGE ON YOUR COCC STUDENT ONLINE ACCOUNT.
  • COMPLETE ADVISING (Contact your COCC advisor to schedule an appointment. Be sure to contact Admissions and Records at 541-383-7500 if you need to change your major to Pharmacy Tech and/or be assigned to a Pharmacy Tech advisor.)

DISTANCE STUDENTS:

  • APPLY TO COCC - Application available online
  • TAKE PLACEMENT TEST AND/OR SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS *TO ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS Placement tests and transcript review may be taken at the partner school prior to admission. Results should be submitted to the Pharmacy Tech Program at least 2 weeks prior to registration.
  • COMPLETE NEW STUDENT ADVISING (Call Pharmacy Technician Director at 541-318-3722 for advising by phone).

 

In order to register for Fall 2022 cohort complete the following:

  1. COMPLETE COCC'S ONLINE ORIENTATION (available after admission to COCC at cocc.edu/onlineorientation/)
  2. COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING COURSES with a "C" or better (contact Program Director for possible exemptions):
    1. MTH 015 Basic Mathematics or higher or minimum placement Math Level 7
    2. WR 065 Rhetoric and Critical Thinking II or higher or minimum placement Wr/Comm Level 7
    3. BI 105 Essentials of Human Biology

Before fall courses begin you must provide the following documentation to the program director or Allied Health Administrative Assistant:

  1. High School diploma/GED
  2. Immunizations, criminal history check and drug screening through VCI by the due date indicated. See: Pharmacy Technician Advising Info.
