CIS Textbook Resources
Cengage SAM
Students in some CIS courses will need both a textbook (print or e-book) AND a SAM account. SAM is training and testing software used in class and essential for completing required coursework. The best option is to buy the SAM/book bundle from the bookstore or from the Cengage Brain online store (links below).

CIS 120 Computer Concepts | http://services.cengagebrain.com/course/site.html?id=2774449 |
CIS 131 Software Applications | http://services.cengagebrain.com/course/site.html?id=2681687 |
CIS 125E Microsoft Excel | http://services.cengagebrain.com/course/site.html?id=2680916 |
CIS 125A Microsoft Access | http://services.cengagebrain.com/course/site.html?id=2835870 |
Because SAM software/access is essential, buying a used book for any of these classes is likely NOT going to produce a cost savings. The instructor for your course can help you determine the best option for your situation, depending on if you already have a book and/or already have SAM access from a prior class.
When setting up your SAM account for your class, you'll need the institution key. Our SAM institution key is T2079791.
You can find online resources for using SAM, including the Getting Started Student Guide, from Cengage Learning.
