Rotary Wing - Helicopter& Fixed Wing - Airplane
In operation since the 1980s, Leading Edge Aviation (LEA) is located at the Bend Municipal Airport in beautiful Bend, Oregon and provides aircraft (helicopters and airplanes) for COCC aviation students. Helicopter students train in Robinson R22, Robinson R44 and Bell 206 series aircraft. Airplane students train in Cessna 172 and Beechcraft Bonanza or Baron Aircraft.
LEA's maintenance staff works on both airplanes and helicopters and has a well- established reputation in avionics and maintenance. Leading Edge Aviation is a Factory Certified Robinson Helicopter overhaul and maintenance facility, as well as a Robinson Dealer.
LEA offers maintenance hangar facilities, offices, classrooms, pilot briefing rooms, fuel services, on-site testing center and plenty of ramp space for helicopter and airplane traffic.
Advanced Flight Dynamics
Airplane Upset Prevention and Recovery Training
Advanced Flight Dynamics (AFD) is located at the Redmond Airport (KRDM) and provides aircraft for Upset Prevention and recovery Training (UPRT) and CFI spin endorsement training for COCC students. AFD COCC students will train in a Super Decathlon.
