Adjunct Professor of Massage Therapy
Rodney Cross has been teaching kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, and clinical assessments in COCC's massage therapy department since 2010. Prior to coming to COCC, he taught anatomy and physiology and pathology at the Sage School of Massage.
His goal is to help students become the best they can be. To see my students share their excitement when they have been able to relieve a client's physical pain with their newly acquired skills is my reward, says Rodney.
He describes his teaching style as ever-changing, somewhat rowdy and rarely boring.
Rodney has been a major catalyst of positive change in our program and is well respected within the community and among his peers, says Alan Nunes, director of COCC's massage therapy program.
Rodney has been in clinical chiropractic practice for almost 30 years. He still sees patients three days a week when he is not teaching.
His hobbies include gardening, physical fitness and experimenting with fermentation.
