COCC welcomes the voices of OperaBend, June 29 & 30

OperaBend, with support from COCC's Fine Arts and Communications department, is performing “Highlights from ‘Lucia di Lammermoor’ and selected Grand Opera” at Wille Hall at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 29, and at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $5 for students, available at operabend.org.

“Lucia di Lammermoor,” composed by Gaetano Donizetti in 1835 and based on Sir Walter Scott’s historical novel, “The Bride of Lammermoor,” is a three-act tragedy. It requires a coloratura soprano for the title role, with vocals reaching the very top of the range. The accompanist is Scott Michaelsen.
