Join COCC to celebrate Latinx Fiesta! Fun, free virtual events, all open to the public:

Tuesday, April 27 · Bingo en Español · Noon
The Latinx Club hosts a fun game of Bingo en español! You provide your own frijoles, and we will email you a bingo card after you register. Prizes for the winners! Email esandoval@cocc.edu to learn more.

Wednesday, April 28 · Skirt Technique Workshop/Taller de Faldeo · 4 p.m.
Workshop led by Renee Gonzalez. How many traditions of dance have used storytelling in their chosen movement expression? The trunk or core of our body can direct a desired effect while dancing. Learn to use your core, shoulders, arms and hands to express an emotion through the use of sharp lines and angles or contrast with soft and fluid motions. This hour will bring the joy of movement back to your center while your body tells a story! Gonzalez will demonstrate a few regional differences between Mexican Folk dances. (A long skirt made of two circles is ideal but any skirt that is wide will work.)
