Melissa Merryman

Residence Life Coordinator

Melissa started working at COCC in July 2017. Prior to joining COCC, she worked at Rogue Community College as the faculty advisor for the Associated Student Government and project coordinator for state grants. Melissa graduated from Southern Oregon University with a bachelors degree in anthropology, a certificate in cultural anthropology, and minors in human communication and international studies. She is currently pursuing a Masters in education online at Portland State University. Melissa enjoys traveling and exploring and is excited to adventure in Bend.

The Residence Life Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the student staff, day-to-day interactions with students, and development of community programming.



Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life

The Assistant Director is responsible for much of the operational management of on-campus housing.


Stephanie Spalding Bilbrey

Housing Marketing & Summer Conferences Coordinator

Stephanie began working at COCC April 2015. As a transplant from Kentucky, Stephanie worked for a large performing arts venue managing events and rentals as well as marketing and developing new theatre audiences. She brings a decade of event planning and management experience as well as several years coordinating marketing and community relations. Stephanie has a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Louisville. She enjoys exploring culture, food and recreational options in and around Central Oregon.

The Marketing and Summer Conferences Coordinator is responsible for the on-campus housing and summer conferences marketing plans as well as guest services and operational management of summer conferences.


Kate Donahue

Office Specialist

Kate joined the housing team in January 2017. After working at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL for over 20 years, Kate and her husband, Gary relocated to Bend in 2014. Kate brings energy, creative problem-solving, kindness and a sincere appreciation of students living and learning in a college environment. Kate also enjoys caring for her animals or digging in the dirt at her hobby farm, Midnight Sky Farm of Tumalo, outside of Bend.

The Office Specialist supports administrative facets of the Housing Office as well as resident services.
