Humanities Programs and Classes
Our programs and courses offer depth and breadth in Humanities general education;
develop core competencies in English-language reading and critical thinking, writing
and research, as well as cross-cultural studies essential for intelligent and responsible
action in today's interconnected world. [Related Humanities courses, such as those
in History, Philosophy, and Foreign Languages, are offered by the World Cultures and Languages Department.] In addition, Oregon State University - Cascades Campus continues to expand baccalaureate and graduate degree programs and courses in Humanities
and Liberal Studies, closely articulated with COCC lower-division courses and programs,
