Summer Term Aid
Types of aid available: Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Direct Loans, Federal Work-Study, PLUS Loan and Private Loans are available for summer. Summer term is the beginning of the 2022-23 award year. If you have not completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), you should complete the application online: www.fafsa.gov.
Requesting loans for summer: We recommend that students wait to accept their loan awards until their aid has been adjusted to include summer term. Students will have their aid adjusted 1-3 business days after summer term registration which typically begins in the middle of April for returning students. Students who mistakenly accept their 2022-23 loans before they are revised for summer may request their loans for summer term by contacting the Financial Aid Office using their COCC email or visiting the Boyle Education Center. Students will also need to indicate if they would like the maximum loan amount. We highly recommend that students borrow responsibly and only what they need to pay for educational expenses.
Federal Pell Grant and FSEOG will automatically be paid to all students who are eligible and enrolled in summer
term. For more information on how summer term enrollment will affect your grants,
please contact the Financial Aid Office.
Types of aid not available for summer term: Oregon Opportunity Grant (OOG), Oregon Promise Grant, COCC Foundation Scholarship
and COCC Merit Scholarship. Click here for more information.
