eLearning Advisory Task Force

Charge:The eLearning Advisory Task Force will create a strategic plan for eLearning at COCC. This plan will be aligned with the Colleges Strategic Plan and Academic Master Plan and will include goals with measurable objectives.

As technologies, pedagogies, and student and market demands change, the task force will work to meet the charge while considering:

• guidelines for best practices in eLearning course design and delivery

• the needs of offering and delivering eLearning (e.g. online degree completion, online & hybrid programs, complementing course offerings of the Northern campuses)

• policies that affect eLearning (e.g. technology licensing, faculty contracts, intellectual property, accessibility)

• data on student enrollment and student success in eLearning courses

• training, resources, and support needed for faculty to be properly prepared to teach eLearning courses and to have opportunities for continuous improvement

• ease of off-campus access to resources and assistance (e.g. enrollment, advising, technology support) for students in eLearning courses throughout their experience at COCC
