The Taxonomy of Program (TOPs) codes were created by COCC to connect courses to programs in our data and databases. The following description is provided by COCC's Institutional Effectiveness Office, revised 11/2013.

Definition:
Specifies the taxonomy of the program, such as English, Biology, History, etc.

Where it resides (Course level, Program level, Student, Completion, etc.):
Course level

Who is responsible for deciding appropriate code?
