ISO Mission Statement

The Information Security Office (ISO) works with the campus community to reduce threats against confidential College information by ingraining information security best practices into the College’s technical infrastructure, governance, business processes and mindset

ISO Vision Statement

Expand and improve upon a comprehensive security posture, while ensuring secure access to information for those who need it to perform their jobs. This is accomplished by three strategic approaches: an appropriate governance and policy structure; affordable security architecture and solutions; and a holistic security awareness program which addresses staff, faculty, and the community at large.

Organizational Context

The Information Security Office reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and works with other departments across campus as a trusted advisor where the College's data confidentiality, integrity, and availability are concerned.  The ISO does not provide business guidance, nor does it attempt to steer technology decisions.  Instead, the ISO attempts to help secure business practices and technologies where applicable.
