Fundamentals of Woodworking
Sharpen your woodworking skills.  Whether you are a hand tool user or power tool user, starting your first project, or looking to push yourself to the next level, this class is for you. Learn about shop safety, sharpening, tool use and maintenance, wood selection, and more. In this small class, your individual project and skills receive special attention. Take advantage of this opportunity to work in a generously equipped wood shop alongside an instructor who has extensive experience and the tool collection of a professional furniture maker. The term project will be making an Adirondack Chair, just in time for summer. This project places more emphasis on band saw skills, cutting tapered and angled boards, recessing screws and plugging the holes. Project, materials, and safety will be discussed at first class. Attending the first class is mandatory.
Visit the Woodworking webpage for project photo. Materials not included. Liability form required.
