College Now is a partnership between Central Oregon Community College and area high schools in which 1,114 students earned 8,149 college credits in 2016-2017. Seniors, juniors, and selected freshmen and sophomores earned college credit in classes taught by 65 qualified high school teachers during regular school hours at 14 high schools. Classes ranged from math, writing and Spanish to automotive technology, criminal justice and forestry, depending on the school. At a cost of $15 per credit, last year's students saved up to $312 per course over regular COCC tuition.
College Now is a great way to get a head start on college, without spending big money. Credits granted through the program are regular COCC credits and most will transfer to other schools, including Oregon Public Universities and Community Colleges as well as out of state and private schools.
College now is also a great way to start a COCC certificate or degree. If you're ready to do the work, we're ready to grant the credit. Check out the links on the side menu to see what courses are articulated at your high school, or call us for more information. 541.504.2930
