Sharon Richards has a Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Management and a Master's Degree in Social Work, both from the University of New England. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the mental health field since 1995. During an 8-year period working at Deschutes County Mental Health, she did substance abuse and mental health evaluations, counseled with kids in various Central Oregon schools, family counseling, individual child & adult counseling and crisis work. Since working for St. Charles Medical Center, she has done crisis work in the Emergency Room as well as individual counseling with adults. Sharon has been a Personal Counselor in the COCC CAP Center since 2007. She has primarily focused on issues such as depression, stress & anxiety, organization/ time management and trauma resolution with students. However, she is open to working with most issues that a student may bring to counseling.
