eBay: The New Frontier

The purpose of this website is to introduce you to the “World of eBay”.  I am a student at the University of Oregon and a single mother of three wonderful children. I use eBay as a way to recycle my children’s clothing as well as a medium to create additional income for special occasions.  I am doing a research paper for Eastern Oregon University’s Writing 206 course on the topic of eBay as well as a term project for English 316. This website is an opportunity to publish my experience with eBay as well as a guideline for anyone who wishes to enter into the world of online auctions. For those interested in selling on eBay, I will offer advice and tips on items from second hand stores/thrift stores that can be sold for more than the purchase price as well as what to look for in garage sales. eBay is for anyone who enjoys shopping as well as those who just like  “window shopping”.  In this site you will be able to find samples of auctions, links to important information on selling and buying on eBay as well as an overview of eBay's history, community involvement and financial status.  Information on online payment services such as Paypal, is provided in this site. eBay can be a tool for a variety of people who cannot get out to shop, live in remote areas or a way to finally find a buyer for the odd junk that collects dust bunnies in the closet corner.  I have provided links to my auction site on eBay as well as my E-mail address if anyone has any questions that have not been covered here.
