Wendy and Jim are working in collaboration on this term project, which is a study guide to Toni Morrison's Beloved.

As we work on the Beloved web, we feel it is important to consider any and all implied readers that may view our work. It may be that students in the process of studying Toni Morrison's novel may be seeking help or other opinions in the evaluation of the literary work. Others may find this web-site useful as well, including teachers.  Those who are teaching the novel may find the text and links within the page helpful in their tasks.

The project has multiple purposes. As students working on this web we are attempting to gain a better understanding of the novel, while at the same time we are seeking to add to our technical knowledge base in the working aspects of building webs and web pages. We hope visitors to this site find it useful in their studies of the novel Beloved
