The Writing Center provides free tutoring services to all currently enrolled COCC students for the courses that they are currently taking at COCC. You do not need to make an appointment. Just drop by during our scheduled hours (see below). We are located first floor of the library, in the tutoring annex.
Please also note that we only tutor for assignments for specific COCC classes. This means we cannot help with nursing applications, scholarships, or any other project not assigned for a specific COCC class. If you want writing/editing help for applications/scholarships, OWL Purdue Online offers some great writing tips.
ATTENTION: The Writing Center is closed from June 16--June 20th. We start our regular tutoring schedule for summer quarter on Monday, June 30th (second week of classes).

Policy Regarding Laptops
Because our tutors believe tutoring
sessions go more smoothly with essay hardcopies, we politely ask that you bring
a hardcopy vs. having a tutor look at your essay on your laptop.
We leave it up to the tutor to decide
if he/she will look at an essay on your laptop, or the tutor may request that
you come back with a printed copy.
You will find printing stations at
the front of the library!
If you have had a tutoring a session at the Writing Center, we would appreciate a quick one-minute survey of our services. The feedback will really help us!
