ASCOCC Elections

  • Date/Time:Friday, 4/18/2014 from 8 a.m. through Friday, 5/9/2014 ending at 4 p.m.

ASCOCC Election Candidates The Associated Students of Central Oregon Community College (ASCOCC) is comprised of six ASCOCC Council Officers; the student body elects three council members before the end of the spring term and an Appointment Committee appoints the remaining three positions. (See Article IX of the ASCOCC Constitution).

ASCOCC has voted in a change in structure for the Council. Beginning with the 2014-15 ASCOCC Council, there will now be a President and two Vice President positions that will make up the elected council members.

Election for Council members is administered and regulated by the Office of Student Life and is held during spring term. Voting shall be done electronically using the College’s online system (BlackBoard) and made available to students for a minimum of three days.

Elected Candidate Election Packets are available April 18, 2014 for the upcoming ASCOCC Council member election.

May 5 Candidate Campaigning Begins/Appointed Council applications available

May 15 Candidate Forum (Details will be provided to confirmed candidates)

May 19-21 Elections (Facilitated through Blackboard) 12:00 am, May 19th-11:59 pm, May 21st

May 23 Elected Officers Announced/Appointed Council Member applications due

May 20 Applications for Appointment Officers Due (Student Life Office by 4pm)

June 2-5 Appointed Council Candidate Interviews

June 6 Appointment Committee Announces 2014-15 Council Slate

June 9 2014-2015 ASCOCC Council Confirmed by COCC President

July 1 ASCOCC Elected members term begins

Aug 15 ASCOCC Appointed Members term begins
