2014 Traditional Nursing Program Application Information

Prepare to Apply - Students who are nearing completion of the Nursing prerequisite coursework should prepare by:

  • Reviewing the 2014 Selection Process Handbook
  • Attending a Nursing Program Information Session ( if you have not already done so)
    • Dates will be available soon 
  • Check Degree Audit in GradTracks 
    • Verify pending pre-requisite completion and documentation of all transfer coursework in GradTracks.
    • Submit official transcripts for any prerequisite coursework taken at other colleges or universities to COCC's Enrollment Services Office.

  • Confirm Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirement completion documented
    • If Nursing 95 was completed at COCC or equivalent course was transferred in (via Official Transcript) from another Oregon Community College:
        • Verify completion of Nursing 95 documented in GradTracks with grade of "C" or higher
          • Nursing 95 will be visible in GradTracks towards the bottom under Not Needed
           
       
    • If Certified Nursing Assistant Class taken at a long-term care or other educational institution:
      • If course will be completed on or before March 21, 2014:
        • Submit Oregon CNA license number via email to Seana Barry at sbarry@cocc.edu
      • If course will be completed between March 22, 2014 and June 16, 2014:
        • Submit a copy of your Certificate of Completion to Seana Barry before 5pm June 16, 201.  You may attach it in an email, or deliver it to Enrollment Services, Boyle Education Center, Bend Campus, attention Seana Barry
         
        • Then Email Oregon CNA Level 1 license number to sbarry@cocc.edu before August 15, 2014

  • TEAS-V Exam
    • Study for, schedule and take the TEAS-V Exam at COCC

  • Application - the 2014 Application will be available here March 31, 2014. 
    • Deadline for submission will be Monday, June 16, 2014 before 5pm.
     
  • Short Answer Questions
    • Answers are submitted with the application.
    • The 2013 Short Answer Questions will be available here by January 31, 2014.
  • 2014 Information on the Application and Short Answer Question Guidelines will be available by Winter Term 2014.
