Capital Requests

The academic departments at COCC are to submit fixed asset requests for the next academic year budgeting cycle. Requests are to be submitted by noon on February 14, 2014.  Replacement Furniture Requests are due at noon on March 21, 2014.

The academic department chair is to submit one form per fixed asset-request item your department is hoping to acquire.

Each fixed asset request item submitted must have a Department PRIORITY identifier. Each academic department making a request should submit:

  • one Priority #1 item for Technology Fixed Asset,
  • one Priority #1 item for Non-Technology Fixed Asset,
  • one Priority #1 item for New Furniture Fixed Asset.

Each academic department making a request should submit:

  • one Priority #2 item for Technology Fixed Asset,
  • one Priority #2 item for Non-Technology Fixed Asset,
  • one Priority #2 item for New Furniture Fixed Asset, etc.

Each fixed asset request item submitted must also have a Department NEED identifier. The Department may have multiple Need #1, Need #2, Need #3, etc., identifiers in their area. You will have a drop-down menu of "need" definitions from which to choose on each fixed asset request form you submit.

Requests are to be submitted by DEPARTMENT, not by Program.

Fixed Asset Item Defined: Any SINGLE item with a value of $1000 or more that has a life of more than one year. (definition provided by the COCC Fiscal Services Department). There is NO "bundling" of items into a Fixed Asset request.
