COCC Community Learning Registration Starts Soon

Registration for Central Oregon Community College’s Community Learning fall classes begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26. The fall schedule of classes is available online, and the schedule brochure will be mailed soon.

The fall schedule includes new and popular favorite noncredit offerings to enrich and expand learning. Classes in photography, computers, fitness, business, cooking, gardening, recreation and art will be held in Bend, La Pine, Madras, Prineville, Redmond and Sisters.

A sampling of the more than 50 new noncredit classes includes Managing Diabetes, Banjo, Windows 7 in Spanish, Steelhead Fishing on the Deschutes River and Essential Supervision Skills.

Class schedules are being mailed Aug. 22 to residents who have taken a class in the last two years. Schedules are also available at COCC, local chambers of commerce, and libraries and on the Web. The full class schedule is available at www.cocc.edu; online registration is now open. Students can also register by mail, e-mail, fax, telephone or in person.

The new Professional Development schedule, which offers high-quality, innovative programs ranging from leadership to advanced technology, is also being mailed on Aug. 22.
